Psyonix's Season 9 update also brings the new Hot Wheels Triple Threat DLC pack, described as "one of our biggest Premium DLC packs ever". Coinciding with Hot Wheels' 50th anniversary celebrations, the new pack transforms three classic Hot Wheels vehicles into Battle-Cars (the Gazella GT, MR11, and Fast 4WD), each with four unique decals. There're also new Gorilla, Snake, and Spider Toppers, and the whole package costs $5.99 USD (around ?.50).
Rocket League's Premium DLC will be accompanied by a selection of free Hot Wheels-themed goodies for all players. Everyone will, for instance, have access to the new Hot Wheels Rivals arena, plus a range of currently unannounced free customisation options. All this will be available as part of Rocket League Trading Season 9 update, which launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC next week, on September 24th.
Rocket League makers have shared more information about the upcoming Rocket Pass,?announced back in May, which seems to follow the season pass model of Fortnite and PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds.
First, the pass will be available on www.lolga.com all platforms, and every item players receive from it will be tradable. The cost to unlock the premium tier of a Rocket Pass will be the in-game equivalent of $9.99, same cost as Fortnite attle Pass,?which is also a time-limited progression system.
